Lungs of Piyush needs your generous support

Treatment Cost: 100000

Piyush aged 11 years was born in a remote village in District Katihar, Bihar. His father works as a farmer in his village and earn only to fulfil the basic needs of the family. Around 3 years back Piyush felt a feeling of breathlessness while playing with other children in the village. This feeling of discomfort became persistent with time and the family was concerned at this situation.
Piyush was taken to the nearest government hospital based in Katihar and was advised by the doctor to visit government hospitals in Delhi for further consultation. Initially the family was coping with different challenges such as migration to a new city, travelling to different government hospitals across Delhi and waiting for their turn in OPDs.
On one of their visits to a Government Hospital they came to know about free OPD conducted by Child Heart Foundation on every Thursday in New Delhi and they immediately visited the OPD. After the screening it was diagnosed that Piyush was suffering from Pulmonary Hypertension. The parents were counselled that Piyush would need active treatment along with continuous life saving medication.
Piyush was immediately registered under the PH Life Care – a program on extending financial assistance to patients of Pulmonary Hypertension. Piyush’s mother – Kalyani Devi was counselled about the importance of continuous medicines and the manner in which medicine will be provided.
"Child Heart Foundation has been providing free medication to Piyush since the last one year along with regular screening and follow up check-ups. The estimated cost of his treatment including the medical expenses is Rs 1,00,000 for the next one year. Please come forward and donate to help us provide lifesaving medicines to Piyush!"
