HELP PIYUSH GET OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR

Treatment Cost: 100000

Piyush is an 11-year-old boy who was born in a remote village in District Katihar, Bihar. His father works as a farmer in his village and his earning can only fulfil the basic needs of the family. Around 3 years back, Piyush felt a feeling of breathlessness while playing with other children in the village.

The breathing problem became persistent with time and the family got concerned with his condition.
Piyush was immediately taken to the nearest government hospital based in Katihar and was advised by the doctor to visit any government hospital in Delhi for further consultation. Initially, the family was coping with different challenges such as migration to a new city, traveling to different government hospitals across Delhi and waiting for their turn in OPDs.

On one of their visits to a Government Hospital, they came to know about free OPDs that Child Heart Foundation conducts every Thursday in New Delhi. The parents immediately visited the OPD with the hope to get some clarity on Piyush’s condition. After screening, it was diagnosed that Piyush was suffering from Pulmonary Hypertension which is a life-threatening disease. The parents were counselled about the active treatment that he would require throughout his life. The medicine for PH is very expensive and Piyush’s family was not in the condition to bear the expenditure for life.  He was immediately registered under the PH Life Care – a CHF program that provides life-saving medicines to children with Pulmonary Hypertension for free.

"Child Heart Foundation has been providing free medicines to Piyush for the last one year along with regular screening and check-ups” – said the emotional mother.

However, now he is facing a serious health issue as his oxygen level is continuously dipping. If anyone has an oxygen concentrator that he/she wants to donate, please come forward and help us.
