Dilkash Parween aged 5 years and 5 months was born in Saharsa, Bihar. When she was just 6 months old it was found that she had a serious heart problem since birth. dr. Alok from Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital referred her to Child Heart Foundation.
When she was diagnosed by dr. Vikas Kohli was found she had Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) and her intervention included Total Repair surgery. Dilkash father works as a daily wager in the village of Noida, U.P., and it was difficult for him to collect the money. Her family was not in a position to bear the cost of her treatment.
He started borrowing from every person he knew but could not arrange any amount. Meanwhile, Dilkash developed breathing problems and often fell unconscious. So Seeing their financial condition she got registered in CHF’s Hridaan program on 21/11/2022.
At Child Heart foundation her surgery was sponsored within one month of registration and was successfully done in Apollo hospital, New Delhi on 19/12/2022. She has come for a follow-up and after a thorough examination by dr. Vikas Kohli, it's safe and joy to say that Dilkash is healing and getting back to normal.
Dilkash’s mother couldn't hide her joy and thanked us profoundly, especially dr. Vikas Kohli for handling holding during and even after the surgery.
