Pihu was 2 years old when diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot(TOF) - A rare condition caused by a combination of four heart defects that are present at birth. Her symptoms worsened as she would get exhausted easily and her skin, nails and lips turn blue. The doctor told the parents that an urgent, open heart surgery is required to save Pihu?s life. The estimated amount for the surgery was Rs. 3.2 lakhs. Child heart Foundation helped Pihu smile again. She is doing well and growing up as a healthy child.
