Darshika is a five-year-old girl who loves to chat with people and spread joy. Her family, originally from Bijnor, has been living in Delhi for over a decade now. However, due to the pandemic, her father's income was seriously impacted, leaving him unable to meet his basic monthly expenses.
Despite the financial and emotional challenges, the family remained resilient when their daughter was diagnosed with ASD. Darshika's health had always been a serious concern for her parents. She had pneumonia episodes, sometimes even twice a year, which only gave her temporary relief. Moreover, her weight was not increasing, and her growth was not normal.
The family took her to a hospital in Moradabad, where the doctors gave them the heartbreaking news that Darshika had a hole in her heart that could only be cured through surgery. The family was referred to the Child Heart Foundation for further treatment and assistance.
Thanks to the intervention of Dr. Vikas Kohli and the foundation's support, Darshika underwent the ASD Device Closure surgery successfully. Her health improved dramatically after the operation, and her parents were relieved to see their daughter's bright smile once again.
Through the generous support of many people who donated, Darshika's family was able to afford the surgery. Today, she is doing much better, and her parents are grateful for the support they received during their challenging times. Darshika's story is a testament to the power of community support and the resilience of the human spirit.
