I am Tanya, and I am 1 year 8 months old ( D.O.B) 08/12/2019) My father, Mr. Santosh Kumar works in a private company as a delivery person, and finds it extremely difficult to take care of our family expenses. When I was born, my parents were very happy. However, they would imagined that this happiness was going to be temporary. When I was just 1 year old, I had high fever and shortness of breath. Seeing my condition, my parents got worried and soon took me to the Ambedkar Hospital. When I got tested, it was found out that I had CHD. My parents were shattered and anxious because the pandemic had made our financial condition even worse. Then, the doctor from Ambedkar Hospital referred us to Child Heart Foundation. There, Dr. Vikas Kohli diagnosed me and it was discovered that I had PDA. My intervention needed PDA device closure, and the estimated cost was Rs. 2,00,000/-. My parents requested Child Heart Foundation for financial assistance and seeing my family’s financial condition, soon I got registered to CHF Hridaan Program. With the help of Child Heart Foundation, I got my surgery done on 6th July 2021 successfully. Now, I am recovering and my family is very happy seeing my progress
